Insects and Vermin

The same borates that make our cellulose fire retardant also repel insects and vermin, such as mice, cockroaches, and termites, in many products.  While vermin routinely nest in fiberglass insulation, the presence of borates in our cellulose insulation helps protect your building from pests.
