NuWool Wallseal
National Fiber's NuWool Wallseal is a spray-applied cellulose insulation, used most often in new construction. Wallseal can also be used as loose-fill insulation for blowing caps in attics or dense-packed in wall and ceiling cavities.NuWool Wallseal is made from:
- Over-issue newsprint (yesterday's unsold newspapers), and other high quality paper sources
- Mineral borate, a highly effective fire retardant
- Board Defense, an EPA registered fungicide, which protects against the growth of fungi, and a small amount of light, white mineral oil for dust control
NuWool engineered cellulose insulation is available in the Northeast only through National Fiber's certified, independent installers. Proper installation requires a proprietary, truck-based spray system. Nu-Wool is applied using a 3” hose and a spray tip that adds a precisely metered, atomized mist of water as the insulation leaves the hose.
